3月24日，市场上的供应担忧情绪推动贵金属行情飙升，现货黄金涨幅达到5%，创下近日以来的新高点，因为最近各国央行新出台得经济刺激政策让投资者暂停了变现得操作，金价出现明显增加。
世界上最大的三家黄金炼厂表示，受疫情影响，他们已暂停在瑞士的生产至少一周，这也给金价带去提振。
加拿大两家银行的分析师表示，美联储无限量购买美国国债和抵押贷款支持证券对黄金来说是一个潜在的“游戏规则改变者”，投资者应该趁下跌的机会买进黄金。美联储为给遭受新冠疫情重创的经济止血，其行动力度比2008年金融危机期间“更加激进”。受潜在的新一轮刺激措施影响，周二现货黄金价格一度涨5%，就此高盛集团表示，金价可能正处于拐点，已经到了买进的时机。接近零利率、市场不确定性和持续的流动性注入，为黄金和白银提供了上涨的条件。
现货白银涨逾7%，刷新3月16日以来高点至14.30美元/盎司，远离上周录得的2009年1月下旬以来低点11.641美元/盎司。、冠状病毒肺炎全球大流行，已经导致全球多个矿区停摆，大量产能限制。2018年我们总共生产白银8.55亿盎司；但今年以来，我们已关闭总计高达2.135亿盎司的白银产能；分别是秘鲁1.45亿盎司，智利4200万盎司，阿根廷2650万盎司。
实物白银市场和纸白银市场存在根本脱节，近期白银价格完全是金融投机因素，与供需基本面变化无关；对我们来说，此前白银价格跌至逾10年新低只能表明，衍生品市场时常会出现荒谬走势，人们不得不做空，不反应现实供求。
