虽然上周美元也大举回落，但并未对金市起到过多的提振作用，也从侧面显示了金价的空头氛围之浓厚。据美国劳动局周五公布数据显示，美国3月包括食物和燃料在内的核心CPI上升0.2%，同时核心CPI上涨1.8%，反映出租金、医疗护理、服装以及二手交通工具价格的普遍上涨，表明通胀正在逐步企稳。随后，因美国核心通胀好于预期，梅斯特发表鹰派言论，美元应声反弹，从而抑制国际金价部分涨幅。
