1、不可犹豫不定，不可左顾右盼
在伦敦金交易当中，交易者可能会经常发出“我要是当时跑了就好了”、“我要是当时进了该多好”之类的遗憾。很多投资者经常已经发现了市场价格的异常波动，也作出了对即将到来走势的正确判断，却往往输在犹豫不定上面。有时候看到价格上涨，不敢坚持己见，心里总是盘算只要金价过了某某价位我就一定买，看看后面发展，结果市场发力上攻，有心想追市场上已无合适价位；有时候看到价格下跌，已经意识到走势不妙，但总是心存幻想，只要金价过了某某价位我一定抛，也许还有反弹，结果金价急速下跌，有心抛出却已是亏损严重。
如何炒黄金才可以长久获利？只有以平常心看待每一次交易，才能获得丰厚的收益。在一些香港公司举行的个人伦敦金的交易模拟大赛，大多数参与者都有良好的获利结果，交易中也能准确把握每次的买人卖出时机。但在真实的交易中获利人数的比例却会严重下降，为什么？原因十分简单，模拟交易的资金不是自己的，没有沉重的心理负担操作起来就会很少有所顾虑；想做就做，往往能够赢利丰厚。
在实际交易中不要将输赢看得十分沉重，才能获得成功。这句话说出来很容易，但对每一位亲身交易的投资者来讲能够做到实在很难。
2、不可盲目跟从，不可心存幻想
市场不存在神，任何人、任何机构都有发生错误的时候。而一些投资者自己不做分析判断，对他人的建议言听计从，自己只是一个傀儡。真正的投资者在听取建议时应该多问几个为什么，以了解建议者的想法、思路和理由，开拓自己的思路，提高自己的水平。尤其当与自己的判断不一致时，更要全面考虑。
有些伦敦金交易的投资者在发生亏损被套的时候，并不是分析行情变化，寻找解套方法，而是期盼着有大幅反弹的奇迹发生。结果非但奇迹没有发生，市场反而继续下挫。在伦敦金交易投资中唯一能够解救亏损的方法只有依靠自己，乞求外力的奇迹不如靠一步一个脚印的努力。
3、市场传言不可全信但也不可不信
市场中总会有一些小道消息，通过各种渠道传播，对于这些消息我们无从考证它的真伪，但是黄金市场是一个无风不起浪的世界，传言的存在必然有其目的性。很多时候是机构和投机商为了使市场价格朝有利于自己的方向发展而编造出来，因此我们不用考虑它的合理性，而要分析它的目的性和对金价的影响，宁可信其有不可信其无。市场中有一句话：“谣言来临时买进，事实来临时抛出。”这是面对市场传言的一种较好的对策。
