在宽松货币政策下，通胀水平升高，黄金的保值作用就能得到体现，这一关系主要体现在黄金价格与美元指数的相互关系上。根据历史数据及理论支撑，黄金与美元指数呈反向的关系，即美元强弱决定了金价的长期走势。美联储加息，美元就会走强。通胀影响黄金价格走势。根据近期我国通货膨胀水平的走势，判断2017年我国通胀压力有所上升，这也将提高黄金的抗通胀的价值。国际政治经济形势变动所带来的避险情绪将催生黄金短期投资良机。在历次的经济、金融危机中，黄金价格都有较好的表现。
