每逢到周末来临之前，就是一众炒金客户把一周以来的交易单子平仓的最后时刻，否则除了要支付周五至周日一共3天的隔夜利息费之外，还要支付比交易保证金高出三分之一的过市保证金，在大田环球贵金属，每1标准手的过市保证金为1500美元，因此为了减免更大的交易成本，一般周末来临前，无论投资者本周所建立的仓位是处于浮动盈利还是浮动亏损状态，都需要在周五前把握平仓时机，旨在令炒黄金减少亏损值至最低，或严格按照原定的炒黄金止盈目标，守住原有盈利。
有些客户担心在周末，即非工作日到来之前，或者是国家法定节假日休市之前，其保证金账户里的净值低于余额的话，这样会不会被贵金属交易平台强行平仓，答案是不一定的，因为净值包含你投入的保证金成本以及盈亏大小，只要净值除以已用预付款(已经用来交易的保证金总数)大于交易平台规定的最低比例时，交易平台是不会催促客户追加保证金的，更加不会强行平仓。
净值除以已用预付款为预付款比例，在大田环球贵金属，只要预付款比例大于20%，客户就不会被平台催促补交追加保证金和强行平仓。被强行平仓的两大原因是，一、亏损值太大，二、每次都重仓交易，导致保证金投入过多，我们看一下净值的计算公式：
净值=现有余额-交易所用的保证金+-交易单的盈亏数
从公式可知道，如果交易单的所用的保证金太高，而伦敦金交易的日波幅一般为10-30美元，即使有所盈利，但保证金成本投入过高的话，其净值也会大幅降低。
另外，若个人做单出现频繁失误，导致亏损过大，那么净值肯定会严重削减，导致净值远低于已用预付款，这时交易平台则向客户发出追加保证金警报，要求客户补足保证金，提高保证金余额，使保证金账户净值与已用预付款比例高于20%，若客户未在交易平台的指定工作日内补齐余额，交易平台系统则对客户保证金账户执行强行平仓。
